Welcome Home: Mrs. Lacy Roberts Returns to Lead NCS

“I am excited to return to Newberry and once again serve the students, staff, and families of this incredible community. My time here has always been the most meaningful part of my career, and I look forward to continuing the great work happening at NCS.”

Lacy Roberts has returned home to Newberry. She previously served as Principal at Newberry Elementary School from 2002–2014 and describes her years in Newberry as the most rewarding part of her career.

Mrs. Roberts is recognized nationally as an outstanding educational leader. She has presented at education conferences across the country and has published several articles in education journals. Many in the community may also remember her as Lacy Redd.

A graduate of the University of Florida, Mrs. Roberts earned multiple degrees in Education and Educational Leadership. During her career, she has served as a principal in Alachua, Levy, and Marion counties.

With 34 years dedicated to education, Mrs. Roberts is excited to return to Newberry to lead the staff at NCS and continue meeting the needs of students and families in the community.
