Food Service
Newberry Community School is committed to supporting student health and learning by providing access to nutritious, well-balanced meals each school day. Healthy food plays an important role in helping students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn.
This school year, meal service at Newberry Community School will be provided by the Alachua County Public Schools Food & Nutrition Services Department, ensuring students have reliable access to meals that meet USDA nutrition standards and support both well-being and academic success.
We encourage all families to complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application as soon as possible. For the 2026–2027 school year, paid student meal prices are $1.50 for breakfast and $2.50 for lunch. Students who qualify for reduced-price meals pay $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch. We encourage all families to submit an application, even if you are unsure whether you qualify, as eligibility is based on household income and family size, and may also provide eligibility for other educational benefits and programs. Applications can be completed online through Your Choice Fresh once the application system opens, or downloaded below.
