Curriculum Resources
Newberry Community School’s curriculum is designed to provide students with strong academic foundations while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and steady growth. Instruction is aligned with Florida’s B.E.S.T. standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics, along with state standards for science and social studies.
Our classrooms emphasize structured literacy, hands-on learning, and data-informed instruction to ensure students receive the support and challenge they need. Teachers use ongoing progress monitoring to guide instruction and respond to individual student needs.
Students at Newberry Community School participate in the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST), Florida’s statewide progress monitoring system. Additional information about state standards and assessments can be found on the Florida Department of Education website. We encourage families to review these resources to better understand academic expectations and assessment requirements.
