She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University and her Master’s in School Counseling from Webster University. Her career includes 8 years at Newberry Elementary, 3 years at Oak View Middle School, and 8.5 years at Newberry High School.
Family is extremely important to her. She has been married to her husband for 37 years, has one daughter, and cherishes spending time with her two grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places around the world. She is very personable and values building strong, lasting relationships with students, parents, and teachers. She is a dedicated advocate for students, with a passion for supporting their success and ensuring a positive, effective learning environment.
As a school counselor, she serves as a vital bridge between students, families, and the community. She will support and guide academic success, and teach life skills that help children grow into confident, capable individuals. She will identify challenges early, connect families with resources, and promote a safe, inclusive environment. She will strive to reach beyond the classroom—strengthening families, improving student outcomes, and building a healthier, more resilient community for everyone.
Having the opportunity to return “home” to the Newberry community is truly a blessing, and she is beyond excited for this new chapter.
