Dedicated and dynamic educator with experience teaching music, science and martial arts. Taught music theory, instrument techniques, and performance skills to hundreds of students. Mr. Smitherman wants to inspire with the basics of music theory, performance and appreciation that promotes a love for music in a positive and interactive environment. Through engaging in listening and performance skills, movement activities and vocal and instrumental ensembles, they learn to feel and respond to beat, tempo, and melody.
